When I launched LUXTON in 2019, with 15 styles ranging from jumpsuits to wool cashmere coats and accessories, my intention was to solidify the look and feel of the collection for the key seasons in outerwear, Fall and Winter. I also had 3 small children, and life was busy, too busy to take the necessary time and intention to build a Spring collection.
The past 5 years were really about building relationships with suppliers, mills, factories and retail partners – developing an atmosphere around the product was the key objective from 2019 throughout 2024. We now, with the support of our incredible customers and our network of suppliers, have built a beautiful Spring collection of pieces that speak to our key values. Form, craft and function.
Developing the Spring 2025 collection began with the Boomerang Trench, which was an early key piece in the Fall 2019 collection. Its shape is recognizable and comforting. The fabric and silhouette are not limited to a particular season and it has become a much sought after piece. I began working with a top mill in Korea to develop a fabric with dual personality. The exterior needed to be durable and rough with a low matte finish, while the interior needed to be soft and easy on the skin. With another mill, I worked on a plaid pattern I felt would be super complimentary to the lighter colours we migrate towards in March and April. I love this plaid, it's soft and feels like a very condensed wool yarn dye.
Our second piece for the season is The Cinch Rain Coat. A classic in many ways, but with a billowy crisp dry hand and voluminous feel. It’s a hugely adaptable piece, meant to really fit into your life just the way you want it too. The right cuff open, hem cinching and waist. It’s all about creating comfort when the climate doesn’t commit to one vibe in a day. We are so excited to launch Spring 2025 and we hope you see how much it compliments our Fall Collection, in attitude and attention.
